Washington Sq. Park with the Stumblebums!
PEACELIGHTS CONNECT FOR PEACE EVENT
You're invited to Peacelights Connect for Peace Event — a street happening featuring the Stumblebum Brass Band and Peacelights Founder Joumana Rizk in Washington Square Park!
When: Thursday, September 20th, 5pm
Where: Washington Square Park NW (Corner of MacDougal Street and Waverly Place)
The Stumblebums are an incendiary force on the New York City music scene. Even though the band has deep respect and admiration for the art of both Louis Armstrong and Nirvana; the Stumblebums reject nostalgia in favor of riotous spontaneity.
Peacelights promotes inner and outer peace through an integrated approach that joins in-depth emotional education with vibrant social activism. In celebration of The International Day of Peace on Friday, we invite strangers to connect with one another in a spirit of openness, spontaneity, and childlike innocence. Peace starts with an authentic connection between two people. When we take the time to realize how connected we are, we can take the first step toward peace. In peace, we become a network of interconnected lights.
Forget your cares and worries, the plans and pursuits of the day. Take a moment to connect for peace. Join us!
